Terms and Conditions
Including our End User License Agreement for the Data Analysis Toolkit

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply whenever you visit the dataanalysistoolkit.com website, request a trial, or purchase a license for the Data Analysis Toolkit and Specialized Toolkit (together, “the Toolkit”). They’re provided by Improvement Analytics Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the website or the Toolkit, you agree to these Terms — so please take a few minutes to read them before you buy.
Key Points
• One license covers one person on one PC. Get a new laptop, and you’ll need a new license.
• Free updates are included for as long as your license is active.
• The Toolkit is two standalone Excel workbooks — no macros, no hidden links elsewhere, safe to use.
• You need Excel 2016 or later, running on Windows (or Windows via an emulator on a Mac). It won’t run natively on a Mac, in a browser, on Google Sheets (or other spreadsheet apps), or on a tablet or phone.
• We test the Toolkit thoroughly, but like all software it’s provided without warranty, and our liability is capped at what you paid.
• Because you need to download and try the Toolkit before you can buy it, by the time you purchase you’ve already had a proper test drive — so we don’t offer refunds beyond your statutory rights (more on this in Section 10).
• Payments are handled by our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy — you’ll see their name on your receipt and bank statement.
1. Who we are

2. Using our website
Everything on this website — text, design, graphics, video and the Toolkit itself — belongs to us or our licensors, and you can’t copy, reproduce or reuse it without our permission. We try to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we don’t guarantee it’s error-free or always available. Some pages link to third-party sites (for example, our payment provider or video hosting); we’re not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
3. Free trial
Before you can buy a license, you’ll need to download and install the trial version. This generates a unique PC license number, which you’ll use to purchase your full license. The trial is provided so you can check the Toolkit works for your needs before you commit to buying — please take advantage of it.
4. Buying a license
When you purchase, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment partner, who acts as the Merchant of Record. That means Lemon Squeezy handles the payment and any applicable sales tax, and your receipt and bank statement will show their name rather than ours. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Once payment is confirmed, we’ll issue your license key against the PC license number generated during your trial.
5. Your license to use the Toolkit
We grant you a personal license to use the Toolkit for your own data analysis work. In return, you agree not to:
• sell, rent, lease, sub-license, distribute or otherwise commercially exploit the Toolkit;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Toolkit, or
• attempt to remove or bypass any copy protection built into the Toolkit, such as unhiding or unprotecting worksheets.
6. System requirements
The Toolkit needs the Excel application (2016 or later), running on Windows (or Windows via an emulator on a Mac). It will not work properly on Excel 2013 or earlier, Excel in a browser, Google Sheets or any other spreadsheet application, natively on a Mac, or on a tablet or phone.
7. License length, transfers and updates
Licenses last for the lifetime of your laptop. Licenses are tied to one user and one PC, and can’t be transferred — if you get a new laptop, you’ll need a new license. We provide free updates to active license holders, both when we make general improvements and when you report a problem worth fixing; we aim to turn these around within 5 working days, and no later than 20.
8. No warranty
The Toolkit is provided “as is.” We don’t make any warranties, express or implied, including as to merchantability, quality or fitness for a particular purpose, beyond what’s required by law.
9. Limitation of liability
We’re not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Toolkit. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for your license. This doesn’t affect any liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Claims must be brought within 12 months of the issue arising.
10. Cancelling and refunds
If you’re a consumer in the UK or EU, you’d normally have a 14-day right to cancel an online purchase. For digital products like the Toolkit, that right ends as soon as download begins — and because you’ll already have downloaded and tried the trial before you buy, your full license is treated as delivered immediately on purchase. By completing your purchase, you confirm you’re happy to receive the Toolkit straightaway and that you understand you won’t have a cancellation period for it. If something’s gone wrong with your order — for example, a billing error or a fault with the Toolkit — contact support@dataanalysistoolkit.com and we’ll sort it out.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new Effective Date.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
